Down the Pub with Nunkie

Every few weeks Nunkie books a private room in an alehouse, and invites anyone who’s interested to come and listen to a rehearsed reading of a classic tale. Admission is free but contributions are invited at the end of the evening.

Recent events have included works by H G Wells, Arthur Machen, Edgar Allen Poe, Saki, M R James, H P Lovecraft, Kenneth Graham, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, E F Benson, ‘DNJ’, Sheridan Le Fanu, Charles Dickens, Roald Dahl, Lucy Boston, Jorge Luis Borges and E G Swain.

These readings regularly take place in London, Cambridge and Manchester, but if you have a local that you think would be suitable for this kind of thing, then please let Nunkie know at
